I guess that I am more "old school" than I thought because sending a card, believe it or not, by mail seems like a good thing!! Texting is ok, the phone is somewhat ok, but receiving a card in the mail means something!! Especially to someone in a somewhat isolated situation like being homebound or in a nursing home.

BooBoo and DoodleBug, an unlikely duo, but "Better Together" especially when sharing time on the chair or chasing each other around the house. BooBoo arrived at the rescue in a sad way and he too required more care than a shelter could provide, so home with me he came. Doodle decided that our woodshed would provide her with some temporary housing - until of course she worked her way into the house!! The sentiment on this card reads: "Thinking of You, My Friend!"

Squirt and Cinder, both found their ways into our homes and hearts in different ways. Squirt seemed to know we would take care of him as he was waiting outside our garage door. Sickly and very weak, we made many trips to our vet's office nursing him to complete recovery. Cinder was found in the middle of a road and ended up at the rescue where I was spending my free time. The apparent "runt of the litter", she needed more attention that the shelter was able to provide so I brought her home to "foster". Well that was my thought at the time!!! The sentiment on this card reads: "Your friendship means so much to me!"

Squirt & Cinder make another appearance on my Life's Greatest Gifts card. Not sure if Squirt is giving her a hug or trying to choke her but as they weren't hissing so I guess all was well!! The sentiment reads: "Which makes You the Best Gift Ever!! Thanks so much being there!"

Ripley, my grey girl that I found on the side of the road on a very hot August day, is the inspiration for my "To a Good Friend" card. A vocal cat, she always let you know how important you were to her....especially at dinner time!! The sentiment reads: Thanks for being there!!

Frankie, my blue-eyed girl, is so very photogenic that it's hard to pick just one picture!! This one is a favorite. The sentiment reads: "Thanks for being an all-weather friend!"

And, just so you don't think that cats are my main focus...close, but let me introduce you to the raccoon family! These little ones were away from their mom that afternoon and climbed the tree when they saw me with the camera. Chattering away to each other and probably to me, they held their pose long enough for me to get a few good and cute shots!!
"Hanging around you is lots of fun....it's been too long since we've been together!! Miss you!"
